When you think of toast, the name Cuisinart is not the first brand that pops into your head. But the Cuisinart name does not belong to only food processors. It also belongs to toasters as well.

Toast is an important part of the American breakfast. I have no statistics, but there is no doubt we consume lots of toasted bread for the first meal of the day. Toasted bread is great for sandwiches too. That being said, we want a toaster that can do the job needed for breakfast and any other time of day we need our bread toasted.

We’ll be looking at some of the great features of one of the Cuisinart toasters. There are about ten toasters to choose from, but I’ve chosen the most expensive one on the list. This toaster runs about $90.

Most of us want a four slice toaster and this toaster comes with that. It has wide one inch slots that make it great for wide pieces of bread such as bagels. Bagels have become almost as popular as toast for breakfast and it is quite frustrating when you want a toasted bagel and it absolutely will not fit in the slot unless you practically hammer it down in there. That worry is gone with this Cuisinart.

This toaster has two separate control panels. This is one of my favorite features. Some folks like their toast lightly brown, others want it golden brown. With this super appliance, you can have it both and at the same time. No need to wait for one piece of bread to toast, then another in a shade darker. You can have your toast and eat it too with this jewel of a toaster.

Speaking of browning toast, this Cuisinart has six browning levels. I know some toasters have up to nine, but who needs that many. Six levels should do the browning trick for anyone who is into toast. It also has a bagel reheat feature. We love our bagels warm, spread with butter and jelly. Or maybe you want your bagel with cream cheese or peanut butter. Whatever you want on it is fine, but you know you’ll always have the satisfaction of a warm bagel when toasting it in the C.

What about frozen items? No problem here. This toaster has a defrost option, so your toasted item will be ready to eat in a jiffy. It also comes with a custom LCD countdown timers and an LED indicator for each function.

How many times have you stuck a small piece of bread in a toaster slot and it didn’t pop up so you could reach it. What a problem that is! CT has solved another problem. It has dual extra-lift levers for removing smaller items. Hurrah! No more hearing if you stick a fork down the toaster, you’ll get shocked. You won’t get shocked here, but you will be shocked at how well it performs.

A few other features of the Cuisinart brand toaster is its two cancel buttons that interrupts toasting and a slide-out crumb tray. A cord wrap makes it easy to put away if you choose not to keep it on a kitchen countertop.
