I woke up and checked the room around me… My new home was not just a dream, I was really there! But it was such a mess… Boxes with parts of my life inside were everywhere… And books… So many books… I had to do something with all this… But with no money… ‘Does it mean that I have to live like this?’ I asked myself.
‘Let’s go to IKEA!’ suggested my best friend and the same afternoon we were there, surrounded by appealing beds, kitchen tables, colorful rugs, comfortable sofas and many practical bookcases! ‘But I have no place for a bookcase…’ , I thought, looking at a big luxury bookcase stuffed with books and decorations. ‘What about this one?’
There it was! An Ikea BILLY bookcase, made of wood, small enough to fit in my small apartment, but big enough to put all my university books inside! And what about the prize? With less than 40 euro,Ii could organize my new life! I came back home with a big package.
Next day it was time for me to give life to this package. I hadn’t done anything like this before, but wanted to try! I unpacked all the parts, read carefully the instructions and started to put parts together .
And, finally, it was so easy! In about an hour, I could be proud about my new bookcase! And it fits perfectly in the small corner in my corridor! I could even adjust the selves as I wanted, so that everything could fit! So perfect!
I organized all my books and was so happy i had free space in my room again. The next days Ii found some more stuff to put inside and, to my surprise, there was space for all of them! Even my small souvenir collection looked unique at the tiny space left in front of my books…
And I could decorate the sides of the bookcase with photos, making a sweet little corner. Every day, I put in and out books, change decoration, store things and even today, two years later, my bookcase is looking like new! And guess what! Even dust is invisible on it!
The only think i’m thinking about is to buy a BILLY extension to put over, so that I can store more books!
