Rule’s most popular pump by far is the 1800 HP53SP. One of the reasons this is such a desirable pump is that it removes water at 1800 gallons per hour (GPH). This means you don’t have to waste a lot of time waiting for the pump to do its work before you can have fun playing in the pool. Aside from the rate at which the pump functions, it also has a characteristic that turns the unit off before it freezes. This prevent any potential damage the freezing could cause to the unit.
Rule is also fairly well know for the customer service. This can come in handy if you have any trouble with a unit that you have purchased from them. In addition, most of their pumps come with some sort of warranty, including the 1800 model which has a 3
year warranty.
Little Giant pool cover pumps are the other more popular brand to choose from. Little Giant has a wide variety of pumps to choose from which makes them especially appealing to some buyers. They have a more basic, manual pump, and an automatic pump much like the Rule 1800, and several to choose from between those two. The PCP 550 is a manual pump that pumps 550 gallons per hour.
The machine works great, even if it doesn’t work quite as quickly as some other models available. If you are looking for an automatic pump that works a little faster than that, but want to stick with the Little Giant name try the 5-MSP. It pumps a quick 1200 GPH. One of the best features of this pump is that it stops pumping only once the water as reached 1/8 inch!
